Miami Beach To Send Warning Texts Before Residents Are Towed

Starting today, Miami Beach residents could get a text warning before they're towed. Commissioner Alex Fernandez says residents who register their cars with the city's Parking Department will get a 15-minute warning text before their car is hauled off. To avoid misuse, vehicles parked in a fire lane, disabled parking spot or blocking travel lanes will not get the text. The goal is to promote compliance not punishment to save everyone time and money.
